Camp Products in Phoenicia international Exhibition
Over the entire day, from ten in the morning till six in the evening, the women’s cooperative societies team displayed 11 products that carried the camp brand in Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, where an exhibition of products from several countries was held. these countries included Russia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Greece, the Czech Republic, Spain, Spain, Armenia, Belgium, China, Italy, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Korea, Romania, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Pakistan, / Egypt, Chile, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, UNIFEL and Lebanon, in addition to nashet participation through women cooperative societyies.
The exhibition tables were decorated with the Palestinian flag to indicate the product and what the product’s identity is. The exhibits that ranged between foodstuffs produced by the Palestinian women cooperative societies and carried the brand (the camp) and crafts, accessories, and Palestinian tapestries, were produced by the women’s body in the Palestinian Committee .
Participating in the exhibition was an adventure because the new camp product has a Palestinian identity and the hands that created it are Palestinian. In addition to the participation of a large number of foreign countries with professionally produced products that are intended for the market, in addition to camp’s stereotype.
More than a hundred and fifty visitors from different nationalities visited the wing of the Palestinian women’s cooperatives and expressed their admiration for the idea and the products on display. Some of them purchased products, some tried samples and asked questions about the idea, while others took pictures.
The sales ratio reached nearly 60 per cent of the offered quantity and the total amount of sales around $ 1170, which was considered a surprise compared to the expectations of the supervisor team which didn’t expect more than recording the presence of the product.
It is important to mention that the amount will be distributed to the women involved in the manufacture of goods, in the context of a motivational process which is considered an essential part of the idea of women’s cooperative societies. This leads to consolidate the idea of the importance of women’s role in enhancing the income per family.
